We just returned from our second year in a row at Rio de Oro, Playa Esmeralda. We stayed for two weeks both times. There is not enough space to tell you how wonderful this place is...from the awesome beauty of the facility and gardens, the pool, the beach etc.
There is not a friendlier staff to be found....they are all more than willing to go out of their way to help you out. The food is out of this world, with buffet style , restaurant,(the new beach grille is fantastic, the red snapper , yummy!), pool grille and bar and fine dining as well...Nightly entertainment is top notch...Disco there is good, lots of fun.
The snorkeling is very good, lots of fish, especially if you take a banana out with you. The new massage hut over the water is awesome, with it's glass floor overlooking the water. The private beaches are a real treat and very clean and white.
So have no hesitation in going to Rio de Oro..we certainly would go back in a second!
