Curacao Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews
Super Clups-Breezes 03/02/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
If you are planning on going to curacao and have kids, then read this review because it is from a kids perspective. We (me,age 11,Kate,age 8, and my mom and dad)went from April 20, 2002 to April 27, 2002. This was the first all-inclusive resort my sister and i have ever stayed in and thought nothing could have been better.

Flight-We flew Air Jamacia and had a layover in Jamacia. The food on the plane is poor, but you can't expect much from airline food. The movie on the plane was ok, but it was one that no one has ever heard of. We live in Milwaukee, WI and i was soo hot once the plane was in the carribean. I highly recommend bringing a pair of shorts in your carry-on bag.

Check In- The check in seemed like it took forever because there were a ton of people waiting to get in. But they had a food and drink stand set up so we had something to do.

Rooms-Our room was pretty small with only two beds, two dressers, a couch, a tv, a phone, a safe and a bathroom of course. The balcony was really cool because we were on the far left side. You could see a long way.

Food/Drinks- They had three main places to get food; the main buffet, the italian and the japanese. The main buffet was awesome and I especially liked the breakfast. Also at the main buffet, the dinner meat changed daily.ex....turkey,ham,roast beef, rost duck etc. There is a huge variety of food and desserts. They also had ice cream daily. I thought the italian was horrible but my parents liked it. The Japanese was excellent but unlike other kids, i am willing to try mostly every kind of food. Also after about 11:00 they put the leftover sushi in the buffet table. There are also two more places to eat. They are just like any other hamburger shop (Culvers) but not as good. The servers and waiters were very nice in all the places we ate at.

Bar- There are many of them located throughout the entire resort. Every one serves the same thing and it takes awhile to get service if you are a kid standing in line by yourself. My favorite drinks were the Straberry Daquri, Pina Colada (non-alchohalic) and the kitty-cocktails.

Pools-The pools were awesome. There are many of them placed in a cool formation. The swim up bar is also very convinient.

Beach-The sand was very nice but you will be disappointed if you are a chell collecter. There were no shells and if you found one it is usually sharp and broken. There were crabs running all over the place and it was fun to try and catch one.

Ocean-It is very fun to swim in the ocean but whatever you do dont swallow the water. I super super highly recommend to rent one of the paddle boats or canoes. You dont have to be an adult to rent one though. I also recommend to take a canoe or paddle boat and ride it out to the little island to the right. The snorkeling was also cool. Ther best spot to snorkel is on the other side of the rock barrier and to the right. Otherwise inside the rock barrier there is almost nothing.

ice hockey, rock climbing+trapese-
The ice hockey stunk because you could barely even skate on the surface and it was full of sand. The rock climbing wall was cool and you should go on it. The trapese was awesome but you have to wait awhile to get your turn.

I highly highly highly highly highly recommend to go to the curacao aquarium and do the ocean encounters. Rent a bike and just ride there because it was not that far and it was fun. If you do this is is like 50.00 per person but it is definitaly worth it. They give you a pail filled with fish and you dive in the water and feed them with your hand. You can feed any fish in there including the sharks and sea turtles. The sharks and sea turtles are blocked off by a fence but if you stick your hand through, it will get bitten off.

Hope you read this and liked it!
