Well where do I begin? I read the reviews before I left, but was optimistic about the hotel. I figured only people with gripes write, so not to worry. If you booked at this hotel "WORRY!" Almost everything that is said is true. First, the good things. We did not get sick, and I did not have bedbugs, and the hotel is on the ocean. Do not take room 179!! The only window is one that overlooks the lobby! The bathroom window is by the air conditioning unit, thus the sewer smell! The mattresses were adequate. We asked for a new room three days in a row, during the middle of the seek and they said they did not have anything. Other people were given new rooms. It is true, they like to move you around. I guess I am not forceful enough. The food is passed on from meal to meal. We had mashed potatoes and chicken almost every breakfast. The drinks are watered down. The employees were rude (even to the cute girls!). The ocean is only waste deep. The hotel is not close to any attractions, however the buses are easy to ride and most attractions are within 5 minutes of the hotel. I would spend the extra money and stay at a better place, especially if you want to enjoy your trip. Cancun is an awesome place, don't let the hotel get you down!
