Neptune's Treasure, Anegada 03/28/2005
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Staying at Neptune's Treasure, on Anegada's south shore, is like staying in a whole other world. You may not want to return to your previous world after a few days here! This family-run guesthouse and restaurant/bar is one of the friendliest places we've ever stayed. They have nine (?) guestrooms, comfortable and clean. No TVs, no phones, and you won't miss them one bit. We had a/c, but never used it. Also, having a small refrigerator in the room is nice for chilling some bottles of water before heading to the beach. (Or for keeping the leftovers from their fabulous lobster dinners... as if there was any!!) The view from Neptune's is gorgeous, and on a clear day, you can see Virgin Gorda, Tortola, St. John, Jost Van Dyke, and even St. Thomas. Our favorite part of Neptune's is sitting on the patio, enjoying a cold one (or two or three), and talking with the family and other guests. They treat you like family here, (except that MY family has never made me meals that come anywhere close to the delicious meals I've eaten here!). Once you get comfortable at Neptune's, on the patio or in one of their hammocks strung between palm trees, you'll have to remind yourself that it really is worth the effort to get up and head over to the north side beaches for at least part of the day!
