Unfortunately I do not have good news re: this resort, would not even rate it a 1 star fair if there was a poor option. Needless to say my husband I will not be returning to this resort, it started with check-in, despite booking a one bdrm on the beach suite 8 months in advance we were "upgraded" to another room--which was nice but as we were on our honeymooners we wanted something smaller and with the two person tub(anyone who is a honeymooner now or in the past should understand) Anyway despite repeated requestes to change rooms it only happened two days before our departure! We found the staff bordered on surley with the exception of the general manager, Imelda at the front desk, maintenance and housekeeping, they just did not seem to care about us and a lot of the "extras" that were promised: robes, "one cool honeymoon" cards, etc., just did not arrive. The doormen rarely helped us with our bags or the doors, the activities desk was rarely staffed I could go on and on. My impression is that the staff just hate their jobs and could not wait for us to leave, because we asked for another room when we arrived we were targeted as "troublemakers" and treated accordingly--but in our case the squeaky wheel did not get the grease. We finally left and stayed at the Marriott for the last two days of our trip--what a difference, the service was great-they could not do enough for us--should have stayed here first! In conclusion I would not recommend the Grand to anyone, particularly to honeymooners.
